In what is shaping to be a season defining game for the Bulleen Templestowe Amateur Football Club, the Bullants head down to Como Park this Saturday afternoon to tackle enemy Old Geelong who have started off the year in terrific form being 4-1 heading into the game. Old Geelong are back at home after defeating NOB’s/St Pat’s on the road last week by 45 points. NOB’S/St Pat’s and Old Geelong were neck and neck for majority of the game last week with the Ogger’s only leading by 3 points going into the final term. Skill and fitness seemed to be the key to Old Geelong’s eight goals to one in the final term with the Bullant boys needing to keep that in the back of their minds as they have struggled slightly in last quarters this year.
This will prove to be another test for the Bullants this week as they went down to ladder leader Kew last week at Ted Ajani. A loss this week may cause damage to the Bullants potentially making the top four and finals this year as they travel away again next week against finals contenders NOB’s/St Pat’s and then face what is looking to be an undefeated Ormond side back at home in the next two weeks.
Hoping to gain some players back from injury this week, the Bullants will need to take their fast starts to games and apply it to all four quarters of the game this week if they are to clinch an important win away from home.
Reserves are on at 11:40am this Saturday followed by the big clash at 2pm for the senior game.
Get down to Como Park to check out the action!
