The Bulleen Templestowe Amateur Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Harry Harisiou as the club’s Under 19 coach for 2015. Harisiou is well known to not only the Bullant masses, but equally the wider VAFA community where he is held in high regard. Harisiou has a long history with Under 19’s football, including that memorable Bullants flag in 2006. Harisiou is looking forward to the challenge.
“I have a passion for coaching and the development of people and have missed not coaching footballers over the last 3 years,” Harisiou said. “Our Committee is working so hard behind the scenes to relaunch the Under 19’s in season 2015. For me, the prospect of having a hands on role in guiding a successful pathway program for young men to transition from junior to senior football is a great opportunity.”
Senior Coach Anthony Palmer agreed.
“Harry obviously brings a wealth of experience to the football department,” Palmer said. “He has a fantastic record of nurturing young talent and has a strong relationship with our junior club which is obviously critical to the long term success of our senior club. It’s a great appointment for our footy club and the U19 boys couldn’t be in better hands.”
With training starting on Monday night, Harisiou is all set. “I am ready to go,” he said. “I look forward to working closely with our coaching staff, parents and obviously our players to ensure a positive football experience for all.”
